Europe accounted for more than half of China's total pv exports in April

In April 2022, Europe imported $2.1 billion worth of Chinese pv products, accounting for 60% of China's total exports. It was the highest monthly import volume since records began in 2015. In the first four months of 2022, Europe accounted for 45% of China's total exports.

Assuming a hybrid pv product selling price of $0.27 / W, Bloomberg New Energy Finance expects Europe to import 7.9GW of Pv cells and modules from China in April 2022 alone, compared with 25.3GW in January-April. By comparison, bloomberg new energy finance expects 33 to 40GW of new pv capacity to be installed in Europe in 2022.
