A revision of wind power approval rules in Poland is expected to boost installed capacity.

The Polish government has moved ahead with a long-awaited revision of the approval rules for onshore wind.  This will bring Poland's cumulative onshore wind capacity to around 16GW by 2030, up from our previous forecast of 10.6GW.  Additional wind power will help reduce coal-fired generation and reduce the emission intensity of the country's electricity.  But the increased authority of local governments in the approval process could still delay projects
